AAM Community Yahoo Group
Who would have thought shoelaces would be so hard to find in KL? A desperate mother posted a question about finding laces on the AAM Community Yahoo Group, and quickly had answers from other members of the group. You too can harness the power of the collective knowledge of the AAM Community. All you need to do is join the AAM Community Yahoo Group, if you're not already a member.
It's a way to get your question to lots of people and—with luck—someone will have your answer. Think of it as your community bulletin board. Do you need help finding something? Knowing about a vacation spot? Selling unneeded things? Or have you found something interesting that others might like to know about? Here's a way to share.
And don't forget to check the Files section for a list of previously posted answers.
You can receive the postings as individual emails or as a once-a-day daily digest and you can reply to them through email. But to post a new question or to check the Files sections, you need to log on to the site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AAMCommunity/ with your name and password.
The guidelines are simple:
The site is for the personal use of AAM members only.
It is not for commercial purposes, nor for political or religious proselytizing.
You may request help from members in finding information, where to buy something, vacation ideas, and other things to make living in KL easier.
You may post personal items for sale or wanted.
You may post announcements of events sponsored by other organizations that may be of interest to AAM members.
The site is not a general discussion site.
Any rude or inappropriate postings will lead to site membership privileges being revoked.
You must receive and respond to the Yahoo invitation to become a member of the group. This is not a public group and is open only to AAM members. If you want to join now, please send an email with the subject line: "Need AAM Yahoo invitation" to the group moderator Dana Devoe at dana.devoe@gmail.com. You'll receive an invitation from the group; you must respond within a limited time. Follow the Yahoo instructions to join. |
